We understand that you are going through a difficult time, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical guidance. Firstly, it's important to acknowledge that God understands your pain and heartache. He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
However, we must also remember that God's desire is for us to love and forgive, even when it's difficult. The Bible tells us, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don't forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15, WEB).
Regarding your marriage, it's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. Divorce is not God's intent, as Jesus himself said, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate" (Matthew 19:6, WEB). However, we also recognize that there are circumstances where separation may be necessary due to unrepentant sin or abuse.
Let's pray together:
"Father, we lift up our sister to you, asking for your comfort and guidance during this difficult time. We pray that you would heal her heart, Lord, and help her to forgive, just as you have forgiven us. We ask for your will to be done in her marriage, Lord. If it is your desire for reconciliation, we pray for a miraculous restoration. If separation is necessary, we ask for your protection and provision. Help her to seek you first and trust in your goodness and faithfulness.
We also pray for her husband, Lord. We ask that you would convict his heart and draw him to yourself. Change him and make him a godly man who loves and cherishes his wife as you intend. Ultimately, we ask for your will to be done in both of their lives, Father.
Finally, Lord, we thank you that you are working all things together for good for those who love you and are called according to your purpose. We ask all these things in the precious name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking God's face and trusting in his goodness. Remember that God causes all things to work together for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB). Keep praying and seeking God's will for your life and marriage.
