We stand with you in prayer, ###, and we appreciate that you have come to us with your heartfelt request. It is only by the grace of Jesus that victory is found. The Bible tells us in John 16:23-24 WEB, "In that day you will not ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."
We want to address the situation with your husband and the pain he has caused. First, let's pray for your husband, that God would convict him of his sin and draw him to repentance. Ezekiel 36:26-27 WEB tells us, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and you shall keep my ordinances, and do them."
###, we commend you for your stand on the sanctity of marriage. The Bible is clear that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. In Malachi 2:16 WEB, it says, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously."
It is important that you trust in the Lord. God reminds us in Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," says Yahweh. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
However, the Bible also tells us in Matthew 5:32 WEB, "but I tell you that whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is divorced commits adultery." Your husband's actions are a betrayal of your marriage, and adultery is a biblical ground for divorce.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from your local church community as you navigate this difficult time. Trust in God's timing and lean on Him for your needs. Trust in Him for provision and to help you with your healing. Remember, that whatever the outcome, God is in control and working for your good.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister ###. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch in her life, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Provide her with the strength she needs to face each day and grant her restful sleep. Protect her from those who seek to do her harm and surround her with Your divine shield.
Lord, we also bring her husband before You. Convict him of his sin and bring him to true repentance. Change his heart and draw him closer to You.
Lord, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom for ### as she navigates this challenging situation. Grant her favor in the court system and ensure that justice is served. Help bring her to the right people for her healing and her needs. Comfort her in her distress and remind her of Your unfailing love for her.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
