Beloved of All
Actually your way of interpretation on it is a little different than what Jesus said. You quote some things from the Bible , yes,but I notice you leave out others. Like, you seem to have a problem with admitting that tribulation in the fallen world even exists. What did Jesus say?"In the world you WILL HAVE persecution. He followed with, "But behold! I have overcome the world."But He did say, in the world you will have tribulation..WILL HAVE.How about ,in the Bible, "All those who seek to live Godly will suffer persecution".How we react to it... that's another story, but denying that there is tribulation, when it's plainly stated in the Bible, just as much so as the verses you state.. I mean, you don't even admit that there are problematic situations. in this fallen world. So no, Jesus did say, there will be tribulation, as opposed to you saying everything is a blast. I think the problem is in the interpretation. The verses I gave you are just as much in the Bible as the ones you give me."God will WIPE OUT every tear from their eyes. {Why would they have tears in their eyes if everything in life was a blast?} I think, you chose the verses you like, but ignore the others. You may have READ the whole Bible, but it seems to me that you only repeat the verses that "sound good" to you.P.S. I've read from other people on the site, they may think I should be more "upbeat", but they don't entirely agree with you, either. They at least admit, "we all face problems in this world," You, instead of admitting that, make it sound like everything is a blast.Looks like most are in the middle between your being in a celebratory mood over a problem, and my 'realism."You mean to tell me if you were hanging from a scaffold off the 85 floor of the Empire state Building, by one foot, you would find that enjoyable, and the next Christian in that situation who admits it was not a joyous experience you would "scold "them? No, I don't think God would be angry with someone for admitting that hanging from a scaffold off the 85 fl. Empire State Building is not fun.Your way of dealing with a problem is to pretend it doesn't exist.Let me ask you a question Steven. Is Jesus an ostrich? The only reason I ask is because if I am one with Jesus and you call me an ostrich are you calling Jesus an ostrich?
