Let me ask you a question Steven. Is Jesus an ostrich? The only reason I ask is because if I am one with Jesus and you call me an ostrich are you calling Jesus an ostrich?
Actually your way of interpretation on it is a little different than what Jesus said. You quote some things from the Bible , yes,but I notice you leave out others. Like, you seem to have a problem with admitting that tribulation in the fallen world even exists. What did Jesus say?"In the world you WILL HAVE persecution.He followed with, "But behold! I have overcome the world."But He did say, in the world you will have tribulation..WILL HAVE.How about ,in the Bible, "All those who seek to live Godly will suffer persecution".How we react to it... that's another story, but denying that there is tribulation, when it's plainly stated in the Bible, just as much so as the verses you state.. I mean, you don't even admit that there are problematic situations. in this fallen world.So no, Jesus did say,there will be tribulation, as opposed to you saying everything is a blast. I think the problem is in the interpretation. The verses I gave you are just as much in the Bible as the ones you give me."God will WIPE OUT every tear from their eyes. {Why would they have tears in their eyes if everything in life was a blast?} I think, you chose the verses you like, but ignore the others.You may have READ the whole Bible, but it seems to me that you only repeat the verses that "sound good" to you.P.S. I've read from other people on the site, they may think I should be more "upbeat", but they don't entirely agree with you, either. They at least admit, "we all face problems in this world," You, instead of admitting that, make it sound like everything is a blast.Looks like most are in the middle between your being in a celebratory mood over a problem, and my 'realism."You mean to tell me if you were hanging from a scaffold off the 85 floor of the Empire state Building, by one foot, you would find that enjoyable, and the next Christian in that situation who admits it was not a joyous experience you would "scold "them?No, I don't think God would be angry with someone for admitting that hanging from a scaffold off the 85 fl. Empire State Building is not fun.Your way of dealing with a problem is to pretend it doesn't exist.

Did you read the scripture?

I have not ever stated that there is no tribulation Steven. To count all things as joy has nothing to do with scenarios like you mention for I have no desire to even go to the empire state building let alone hang off the side of it so that could not happen for me in Jesus! I never once said everything is a blast either. We either live unto Jesus His way or we aren't living unto Jesus at all my friend. We may not understand everything Jesus' true ways but we can try. I hope I don't ever hear depart from me you worker of iniquity for I never knew you as what some are going to hear but that is me desiring to do things Jesus way Steven.

A lot of what I learn from Jesus has been through correction and chastisement Steven.

Another thing is, we have to take things in context of how Jesus meant it."Count it all joy,", as compared to other things He said, like, "Rejoice when men persecute you and lyingly say all kinds of things against you. Rejoice because your reward is great in Heaven,."Because you're being persecuted for following God."Happy are those who die in Christ. Let them rest from their labors."In those cases it has spiritual significance. But just some stupid little thing , like the dentist tells you 3 teeth to be pulled,and a root canal, and he's out of novocaine,finding that enjoyable,or having a splinter or a hangnail,or your car stalling in the middle of the highway in rush hour traffic, finding that enjoyable that's just evidence of problems from living in a fallen world, enjoying those things is not like persecution, sitting there happy over your car stalled in rush hour traffic and waiting an hour for a towtruck, that doesn't make you a better Christian. It's just a misfortune of living in the fallen world.

There you go again with your impossible scenarios for me anyway. My teeth are healed by Jesus stripes my friend so I don't go to a dentist at all Steven. But in your head, in your thoughts for your life you think of crazy scenarios, probably one of the reasons Jesus says take no thought for your life. My only doctor is Jesus my friend and He is the doctor of doctors :)

Jesus has always blessed me to make it home or make it to where someone else can fix my car if I can't fix it myself. I did take auto mechanics in college but I don't usually fix my own vehicles because I don't really desire to. Thank You Lord Jesus!

Following Jesus does actually take the edge off so to speak, counting everything as joy does make things actually joyful my friend and taking no thought for my life does actually bless me with the thoughts of Jesus and He says I, actually me, I am the Righteousness of God in Christ! No sickness is allowed in me in Jesus! No weapon formed against me can prosper in Jesus! I can walk right through the middle of gun fire and I am protected through Jesus my friend :)

The beasts of the field are at peace with me in Jesus! I read those things and Jesus has proven those things to me so I claim what Jesus says :)

I once had a tire blow out on a highway in Minnesota and a cop stopped behind me and a big state plow truck stopped behind me and with joy I changed the tire singing Thank You, Praise You Lord Jesus with no worries whatsoever even during a snow storm. It was actually one of the most joyful experiences of my life but I counted it as joy even though I could have counted it as misery :)

And you see no difference between that and and relaxing on your patio?

And you see no difference between that and and relaxing on your patio?

While I am following Jesus and doing His Instructions I am even though you might see me here, I am as well already seated in Heaven with Jesus my friend which is far better than sitting in a hammock sipping ice tea my friend :)

But you can do what you desire and think about your impossible scenarios if you like my friend :)

We are all where Jesus desires us to be. Thank You, Praise You Lord Jesus! :)

Are you even happy when you deal with me,with all the arguments we've had?

Lol, yes because I'm sharing not only with you but I'm sharing with many others my friend. You may have argued with me but I lovingly shared my friend :)
To Brother Steven and Brother James, Here's two verses;

Philippians 3:8,12 “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ ... Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.”

Romans 2:2-5 “Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

My take Brothers;
We are learning endurance. We are attempting to grow spiritually and leave the worldly behind as best that we can. Even Jesus cried when Lazarus was dead. But He also said let the dead bury the dead.
Gratitude and perseverance are important. I have learn to pray before I type out my prayer agreement. I ask God to impart inner strength and understanding of faith to all brothers and sisters before I actually type out my prayer. Gratitude is so important and so are prayers for our family.
Grow and go with God. I hope that we all become firmly fixed on our God and our Holy inheritence.
I hope one day I can successfully say 'I'm not swayed by my discomforts but moved by my Loving Jesus. Amen.
