We are blessed to join you in prayer as you seek to rekindle your first love for God. The church in Ephesus was commended for their deeds, hard work, and perseverance, but admonished to return to their first love, as seen in Revelation 2:4 WEB: "But I have this against you, that you left your first love."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved in prayer. Father, You know the heart of Your child and the desire to return to that first love for You. We ask that You reveal Yourself in a fresh and powerful way, touching their heart and captivating them once again with Your love.
Lord, we pray that You will remind them of the joy and peace that comes from being in Your presence, and that You will ignite a renewed passion for Your Word and Your will. Help them to turn away from anything that may have drawn their heart away from You, and to run after You with wholehearted devotion.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray that You will fill them anew with Your Holy Spirit, and that Your love will overflow in their heart, bringing praise and adoration to Your holy name.
We also pray for ourselves, that we too may continually burn with a fervent love for You, never allowing the cares of this world to draw us away from Your side.
Thank you for Your faithfulness and love that never fails. In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pursue God with all your heart. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Immerse yourself in His Word, and in fellowship with His people. Let your love for Him be evident in your obedience to His commands, and in your service to others.
Remember the words of Jesus in John 14:15 WEB: "If you love me, keep my commandments."
