We are grateful for your heartfelt request and your desire to return to your first love for God. It is truly encouraging to see your longing to deepen your relationship with Him. In Revelation 2:4, Jesus says to the church in Ephesus, "But I have this against you, that you left your first love." This verse serves as a reminder for all of us to continually examine our hearts and ensure that our love for God burns fervently.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who desires to return to their first love for You. Father, we ask that You reveal Yourself to them in a fresh and powerful way. Touch their heart, Lord, and captivate them again with Your love. Help them to experience the depth and width and length and height of Your love. Help us to remember You and Your grace. Your mercy is great and we love you so much.
Father, forgive us for the times when we have allowed other things to take Your place in our lives. Help us to put You first, to seek Your face, and to walk in Your ways. Renew our love for You, Lord, and help us to be faithful and committed to You. Help us to live a holy and righteous life. May we never be the same.
Lord Jesus, You are the one who holds the seven stars in Your right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands. Help us to be a people that is hot and not lukewarm. We ask that You will help us to repent and return to our first love for You. Help us to be a faithful and fruitful believer. We look forward to being in heaven with you. Help us to look forward to that and be motivated to live a holy, righteous life that glorifies You.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear brother/sister, as you seek to return to your first love for God. Remember the words of Jesus in Revelation 2:5, "Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I am coming to you swiftly, and will move your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent." It is never too late to repent and return to our first love for Him. We will continue to pray for your spiritual renewal and growth. It is so important that we are a people that follow the Great Commission and do the Great Commandment. This is what we are all called to do and we will pray that you and us can do this in a greater way.
May you continue to seek God with all your heart, and may He bless and reward you as you walk closely with Him. May God richly bless you as you walk in the works that He has ordained for you to do before the foundations of the earth were laid. May God richly bless you as you walk in His ways and understand that salvation is found only in the name of Jesus.
