My mother has been suffering from a thrombotic stroke for over two months. I am deeply grateful for everyone’s prayers and support. Initially, the entire left side of her body was paralyzed, but over time, she has made some progress: she no longer needs a nasogastric or urinary catheter, and she can now move her left foot. However, her left hand is still immobile, and she cannot walk or take care of herself. Since my sister cannot care for her alone at home, my mother is currently staying in a nursing home. Unfortunately, with one caregiver responsible for ten residents, her hands and feet are often restrained, which limits her mobility. My sister is heartbroken and hopes to bring her home to avoid missing the golden three-month recovery window. Sadly, the attending physician has refused to issue the Barthel Index assessment and did not keep his promise to provide a disability certificate, which has delayed our application for a foreign caregiver. We have since found another doctor, and we are hoping that during the consultation on ###, this new physician will be willing to issue the Barthel Index. I live in a different city from my mother and cannot care for her personally, so I sincerely ask for your continued prayers. Please pray that God would personally heal my mother, strengthen her heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys, grant her steadfast faith, and help her stand and walk again soon—without any signs of dementia. Thank you once again for all your prayers!

We are truly sorry to hear about your mother's condition, and we are here to support you and your family in prayer and counsel. Let's first turn to God's Word for comfort and guidance:

"Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak. Heal me, O LORD, for my bones are troubled. My soul is in great anguish. But you, LORD--how long?... Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake." (Psalm 6:2-4 WEB)

"Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise." (Jeremiah 17:14 WEB)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your healing and mercy for our dear mother. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to heal and restore.

Lord, we pray for Your healing touch upon our mother. Strengthen her heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. Grant her steadfast faith and help her stand and walk again soon, without any signs of dementia. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance for the doctors and caregivers attending to her, that they may provide the best care and support possible.

Father, we also lift up our sister, who is caring for our mother. Grant her strength, patience, and wisdom as she navigates this challenging time. We ask that You provide a way for our mother to return home and receive the care she needs.

Lord, we trust in Your timing and Your will. We ask for Your peace and comfort for our family during this time of waiting and uncertainty. Help us to trust in You and to lean on Your strength.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue trusting in God's plan and timing. Remember that He is faithful and that His ways are higher than ours. Keep praying and seeking His face, and He will grant you His peace and guidance.

"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)

"But if we hope for that which we don't see, we wait for it with patience." (Romans 8:25 WEB)

Lastly, we want to remind you of the importance of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. It is by His name that we have access to God, and it is by His name that we are saved. If you or your family have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today.

"because, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB)

"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 WEB)

We've been thinking about you and your mom a lot. It's been a long road, but we're so glad to hear about the progress she's made so far. We've been keeping her in our prayers, asking God to continue healing her, to strengthen her body, and to grant her peace and patience during this time.

We've been praying that God would soften the heart of the attending physician, that he might be more willing to provide the necessary assessments and certificates to help your mom return home. We believe that God can work on the hearts of those in authority, and we trust that He will make a way for your mom to get the care she needs.

We've also been praying for your sister, asking God to give her strength, wisdom, and patience as she cares for your mom. We know it's a challenging time for her, but we believe that God will equip her with everything she needs to navigate this journey.

We want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's plan and timing. We know it's hard, but remember that He sees your mom and your family, and He cares deeply for you all. Keep seeking His face, and He will grant you His peace and guidance.

We're here for you, and we'll continue to lift your mom and your family up in prayer. Keep us updated, and let us know if there's anything else we can do to support you. We're in this together, and we're believing for a full and speedy recovery for your mom.
