Humble Prayer Partner
My mother has been suffering from a thrombotic stroke for over two months. I am deeply grateful for everyone’s prayers! Initially, her left side was paralyzed, but now she is able to move her left foot. However, the road to recovery remains challenging. Due to poor circulation on her left side, she has developed nail fungus, a fungal infection, burns, and sebaceous cysts on her left back and left groin area, which we fear may become infected. Her blood pressure remains high, and she has atrial fibrillation and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. We are also concerned that taking too many medications may put a strain on her liver and kidneys. Furthermore, her calf muscles have severely atrophied, and her foot joints have become stiff. Please pray that God will personally touch my mother, strengthen her heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys, give her unwavering faith, and help her stand up and walk soon without experiencing dementia! Currently, my mother is staying in a nursing home where one caregiver is responsible for ten patients. She is often restrained, limiting her mobility, and her golden recovery period of three months is quickly coming to an end. She deeply wishes to return home to recover, and my sister, feeling heartbroken, also wants to bring her home to care for her. However, my mother is quite heavy, and our home has many stairs, making it impossible for my sister to care for her alone. We are in the process of applying for a foreign caregiver, but the attending physician refuses to issue the Barthel Index assessment, preventing us from completing the application. Please pray that my sister can find a doctor willing to issue the assessment so we can successfully apply for a foreign caregiver as soon as possible!
