We do like to defend ourselves

Test her spirit like I did your's. If she knows Jesus is God then it is only by the Holy Spirit that she can know this. I believe one of the reasons Jesus said take no thought for your life is simply that our thoughts even for ourselves as well as for others can be wrong. What I'm trying to say is that even if we are wrong we can still be right with God. Just because our relatives are wrong in our eyes they can still be saved even though they seem to have language or lives that we see as wrong. We can know if they or anyone is saved by testing their spirits which can help us pray better for them

Try to keep in mind that I don't post things just for you but I post things for all that read as well as for our Lord even though I'm not working for the Lord but He is working through me. It is a gentle proof for me as well to know I am His and to know that He loves me

Also, what of the statement,"The devils believe and tremble." Certainly demons don't have the Holy Sprit, yet they know whos who.I would think maybe because demons don't have a salvation plan, so there's no "test" for them?

Just because the fallen angels know doesn't mean that they can reveal. Do you remember reading that Christ said they can't reveal who He is? The passage that says to test the spirits does say Lord in our language but who is Lord? It is God who is Lord so we come to learn that God as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit being One with a Name that is above any other which is Jesus in our language which leads us to know that Jesus is God but only a truly saved person can and will know that Jesus is God and it is only revealed by the Holy Spirit to us as in Man

OK..How would you deal with this type?I have an aunt who "flips out" at the mention of Christians and Christianity, flies into a rage and "badmouths" them. She goes out of her way to show she's NOT accepting it,by calling Him Jesus the son of Mary and Joseph instead of the Son of God.Focuses on groups that called themselves Christian but aren't by their works, like the Ku Klux Klan, and the Inquisition.Says it's blasphemy to make a man a God,and that Christians "read the Bible upside down". Trying to defend the faith only gets her angrier and more defensive.Sometimes even if you don't bring Christians into the conversation, she sometimes does, just to "bash" them.I don't know what her problem is, but how would you deal with that type?

I would tell her I'm a Christian and if she would like to get to know Jesus that she could ask me but for the most part I would pray for her but also let her be.

I would think that praying would be more effective than witnessing in that case, because in that mindset,the witnessing isn't getting through, but praying ,God might intervene and break the hold on her.

I don't know about that. I have believed Jesus when He gives me promises in His Word and I have been in the wilderness with creatures that were in front of or beside me and I spoke to the creatures and told them according to Jesus we are at peace with each other. I was in a field at night once walking and a cow bull stood up in front of me and breathed on my face and I just stood there even wondering what it was for a second. I used to go treasure hunting so I have been in some pretty bizarre places that you wouldn't want to go without Jesus. You know the Bible says if we search for God like we are looking for a lost treasure that we will find Him? Well I found Him and I didn't actually find Him on my own, He revealed Himself while I searched for Him in His written Word which I have at times called a treasure map to the greatest treasure of All. God's Word, Jesus is treasure beyond compression for I am at peace with All the creatures, no weapon formed against me can prosper, no weapon used against me can prosper as formed also means used, we are extra ordinary people when we live in the light of Jesus without fear of anything but Jesus and ready to sing praises to the One that fights our battles. I have lived in some of the things that we read about in the Bible. If we live our lives in the pages of Jesus, we would all be oh so very blessed my friend

Sometimes we have to deal with people who in our own time we may not choose to.{Not just job related, either.}Like, my sister is into "works", believes she's a "better person" then those who, for their own reasons, might not be able at the time to just "jump to it" and service someone.{In other words, like most "works" believers, she's judgmental.{And self righteous,if you don't think like her, you're" on a lower level"Now, she's fooled most of the other relatives{including my mother}into thinking she's "the good one", and I'm "the bad guy.".So here's the prayer request--since my mother is still alive,and I have to deal with my sister sometimes,wisdom on when she casts her little "judgement act" on me,{especially untrue judgements}even though I know these judgements are untrue and unfair, wisdom in dealing with this, and patience to make it through this "labeling" when dealing with her.

Knowledge of the word of God (Jesus) help's us greatly as believers on what to do in your situations. We all go through it one way or the other. The biblical stories of Joseph in the bible is with great prospects. They hated him the more. Gen 37-5. Joseph is one our examples In this you're situations and you can see he managed almost ten of he's brethrens, even including his father to able to allowed the will of God upon the family, you are only dealing with one. So I am praying that the word (Jesus Christ) keep and lead you through. Amen.
