Seeking a Spouse

I just want prayer for a spouse. I would like to get married. But my prayer is being in God's will, whether He wants me married or not. I just want peace about it.

We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life regarding marriage. It's commendable that you desire to be in God's will, whether that means marriage or remaining single. The Lord has a unique path for each of us, and it's essential to find peace and contentment in His plan.

Firstly, let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who desires to know Your will for their life regarding marriage. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your plan to them, and grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding. Guide them in their relationships, and if it is Your will, lead them to a godly spouse. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Now let's look into God's Word for encouragement and guidance. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." This verse reminds us to put our complete trust in the Lord, acknowledging Him in all our decisions. Be assured that as you trust in Him, He will direct your paths.

Regarding marriage, it's crucial to remember the sanctity of the union between a man and a woman, as outlined in the Bible. In Genesis 2:24 WEB, we read, "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh." This verse underscores the importance of marriage as a lifelong commitment.

As you pray for a spouse, remember that God desires that we be equally yoked with our partners. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" This verse emphasizes the importance of marrying someone who shares your faith and values.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to find contentment in your current situation. In Philippians 4:11-13 WEB, the Apostle Paul says, "Not that I speak because of need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Remember that God has a purpose for you in every season of life, and He will give you the strength to face whatever comes your way.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
