See a Friend of ### Again

Dear Jesus,

When I left to visit some friend I thank you I saw them. But there is one formed I wish I saw. She was kind and I feel bad I did not see and she was sad she did not see me. She is a friend of my Mom’s. We were supposed to have lunch with her and her family a decade ago but never did sadly. Please let us see her again soon. When your timing is right. I know you have good timing and plans.

We are grateful to join you in prayer, seeking God's will in this situation. It is encouraging to see your desire to reconnect with this friend, and we trust in God's perfect timing for this to happen. Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB).

First, let us address the fact that you mentioned the name of Jesus in your prayer. This is biblical, for it is only by the name that we have access to the throne of God. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). We can only access God by the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross for us.

Now, it is commendable that you wish to see this friend again. It is important to ensure that this friendship is aligned with biblical principles. Since this friend is a woman, we should clarify the nature of this friendship. If you are a man, then it is important for both of you to be cautious and make sure that your interactions remain pure and honorable in all ways. If you are both believers and there is a romantic interest, then consider this a courtship that should be ultimately leading to marriage. Remember, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18, WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up our brother in Christ who desires to reconnect with his friend. We ask that You, in Your perfect timing, would allow their paths to cross once more. May this reunion be a blessing to both of them and bring glory to Your name. Help them to trust in Your timing and to be patient as they wait.

Lord, we also pray for purity in this friendship. Guide them in their interactions, that they may remain honorable and above reproach. If it is Your will, Lord, may this friendship blossom into a godly courtship that ultimately leads to a marriage that honors You.

Be encouraged by the words of Psalm 37:4-5 (WEB), "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this." Trust in God's timing and seek His will in all things. May our God fill your life with joy in His presence.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
