We understand that you're eager to reconnect with an old friend who has been significant to you and your family. It's wonderful to have such meaningful relationships, and it's natural to desire to maintain them. However, we can only get together with God and have a relationship with Him by the name of Jesus. We read in Acts 4:12 WEB
"'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!'"
This verse tells us we can only be saved by the name of Jesus. As we pray, let's remember that God works all things together for our good and His glory, as it says in Romans 8:28 WEB:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our friend who desires to reconnect with an old acquaintance. We thank you for the precious relationships you've placed in our lives, and we ask that your will be done in this situation. Help our friend to trust in your timing and your plan. If it is your will, approach Jesus Christ as Savior.
Lord, we ask that you provide opportunities for our friend to reunite with this family friend, if it aligns with your purpose. Give our friend peace and contentment, knowing that you are in control of every circumstance. Help both families to grow closer to you and to each other, as you see fit.
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen. This is what makes a difference, and we can honestly expect an answer when we pray in Jesus' name.
We encourage you to trust in God's perfect timing and to seek His will in all your relationships, praying in Jesus' name. Be open to how God may be working in your life and in the life of your friend. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Isaiah 55:9 Do not be discouraged or anxious. God will make a way; trust Him. If you are obedient and keep your ways pure, God will take care of it.
