Reconnect with ###

Thread Cover Image
We understand that you're seeking reconnection with your ex and we're here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance. First, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it's only through Him that we have access to God (John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'").

However, we want to remind you of the importance of God's will in your life and relationships. While it's natural to desire reconnection, it's crucial to seek God's will above your own (Luke 22:42, "not my will, but yours, be done.""). God desires the best for you, and sometimes that means letting go of past relationships, especially if they do not align with biblical principles.

We also need to address the topic of reconciliation. It's important to remember that reconciliation with an ex should only be considered if the relationship was a godly one and if the breakup was not due to unrepentant sin or ungodly behavior. The Bible teaches us to forgive and mentions that he who has forgiven the offense. Remember forgiveness is for you. The Bible is clear that sexual relationships before or outside of marriage are sinful. If sexual relationships were part of your relationship, then we must rebuke you for this as this is fornication and against the Bible. First Corinthians 6:9-10 makes it clear "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortioners, will inherit God’s Kingdom.". If you are considering marrying this person, then the relationship should only be resumed if there is a commitment to marriage. Do not make a plan to sin. Lastly, if you are a believer, then you should only be considering marriage to another believer. The Bible warns against being unequally yoked with an unbeliever (2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?").

Let's pray together:

"Father God, we come before you in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who desires reconnection with her ex. We pray that Your will be done in her life and that You guide her steps according to Your word (Psalm 119:105, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."). If it's Your will for them to reconcile, we pray that You soften his heart, bring him to true repentance, and give them both the strength to work on a godly relationship that honors You. If this is not Your will, we pray that You give her the strength to accept it and move forward, trusting in Your plans for her life. Help her to remember that You have the best in store for her, and that You will provide a godly spouse if it is Your will (Psalm 37:4, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart.").

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here with you, sister, as you seek God's guidance in your relationship. We understand the longing for reconnection, but let's remember, God's will is always the best path. Let's ask Him to open your eyes to His plan, even if it's different from what you hope for. We trust that He knows what's truly best for you.

"Father, we come to You in Jesus' name, asking for wisdom and clarity in this situation. Help her to see Your will, even if it's not what she desires. If reconnection is Your will, soften both hearts, bring them to true repentance, and guide them towards a godly relationship. But if it's not, give her the strength to accept it and move forward, trusting in Your unfailing love and plans for her life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
