Proverbs, Chapter 10

10:1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; But a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

10:2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; But righteousness delivers from death.

10:3 Yahweh will not allow the soul of the righteous to famish; But he thrusts away the desire of the wicked.

10:4 He becomes poor who works with a slack hand; But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

10:5 He who gathers in summer is a wise son; [but] he who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame.

10:6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous; But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

10:7 The memory of the righteous is blessed; But the name of the wicked will rot.

10:8 The wise in heart will receive commandments; But a prating fool will fall.

10:9 He who walks uprightly walks surely; But he who perverts his ways will be known.

10:10 He who winks with the eye causes sorrow; But a prating fool will fall.

10:11 The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life; But violence covers the mouth of the wicked.

10:12 Hatred stirs up strifes; But love covers all transgressions.

10:13 In the lips of him who has discernment wisdom is found; But a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding.

10:14 Wise men lay up knowledge; But the mouth of the foolish is a present destruction.

10:15 The rich man's wealth is his strong city: The destruction of the poor is their poverty.

10:16 The labor of the righteous, to life; The increase of the wicked, to sin.

10:17 He is in the way to life who heeds correction; But he who forsakes reproof errs.

10:18 He who hides hatred is of lying lips; And he who utters a slander is a fool.

10:19 In the multitude of words transgression does not cease; But he who refrains his lips does wisely.

10:20 The tongue of the righteous is [as] choice silver: The heart of the wicked is worth little.

10:21 The lips of the righteous feed many; But the foolish die for lack of understanding.

10:22 The blessing of Yahweh, it makes rich; And he adds no sorrow with it.

10:23 It is as sport to a fool to do wickedness; And [so is] wisdom to a man of understanding.

10:24 The fear of the wicked, it will come upon him; And the desire of the righteous will be granted.

10:25 When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; But the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

10:26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, So is the sluggard to those who send him.

10:27 The fear of Yahweh prolongs days; But the years of the wicked will be shortened.

10:28 The hope of the righteous [will be] gladness; But the expectation of the wicked will perish.

10:29 The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright; But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.

10:30 The righteous will never be removed; But the wicked will not stay in the land.

10:31 The mouth of the righteous brings forth wisdom; But the perverse tongue will be cut off.

10:32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable; But the mouth of the wicked [speaks] perverseness.

The mouth of a righteous is a fountain of life.  How true this is.  Let us use our mouth to honor and glorify God.  When we greet the newcomers to our church we must smile, be nice and invite everyone to worship and praise our God.  Jesus, make my mouth a fountain of life so others will see and feed your holy presence flowing to our hearts and soul.  Amen

When a person turns to Jesus empty and lost, then Jesus will fill their heart with joy.   Some of them may come sick and forgotten. Jesus will heal them and receive them as His own.  If they are hungry and thristy, Jesus will fill them up till they want no more.    Proverbs 10.17a   He is in the way to life who heeds correction.   Let us all hear what God is trying to tell us.  If we have sinned and are lost then let us all turn to Jesus.   He will forgive and forget everything we have done against Him.

Slow down and enjoy life.   We miss the wonderful nature God has created.  If we go too fast then we miss even the presence of Jesus in our lives.  Stop and see what God has for you today.  In quietness and in confidence shall be my strenght.   Wise men lay up knowledge.  Prov. 10.14a   If we slow down and hear Gods voice speaking to our hearts then we will be a blessing to our families, to our next door neighbor and to everyone we come in contact with.

Life, faith, prayer, comunion with God reading His word daily and obeyint what it says brings blessings to our lives. Colder winds and shorter days will bring us hope and deeper relationship with God.  He makes changes in weather and in days of our lives.  He is the master of change anywhere in the world.  We bless You o Lord.  For making us see the wonders of your creation.  The wise in heart will receive commandments.  Prov. 10.8a   Let us all give all the honor, praise and honor to our God for His word is eternal .  Will never ever pass away and will stay with us even when we get to heaven, it will be right there written on the briliiant walls that surround His glory.

As I am to take my last ailing breath a voice from heaven above will call my name.  Come, we welcome thee.  You faithful servant of the living God.  Enter into the joy of your Lord.  What a beautiful day that wll be, when my Jesus I will see.   This is the hope of all of us who are strangers and pilgrims on this earth.  The tongue of the righteous is choice silver. Prov. 10.20  Dear God, use my tongue, my words, my thoughts to the glory of Thy name.  That everyone who heart me will hear Jesus speaking to the depths of their hearts.  Amen
