Let us join together in lifting up our brother in Christ as he embarks on this prayer journey. We are reminded in Philippians 4:17, "Not that I seek for the gift, but I seek for the fruit that increases to your credit." It is our heartfelt prayer that this trip will bear abundant fruit for the kingdom of God.
Firstly, let us pray for protection, guidance, and unity among the group. We trust in the Lord's promise in Psalm 91:11, "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways." May God's angels encamp around them and keep them safe from all harm. We also pray for unity, as Jesus prayed in John 17:21, "that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that you sent me." May this unity bring glory to God and draw others to Christ.
Secondly, we lift up our brother's desire for a wife. We know that it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18), and we pray that God will provide a godly wife for him, as described in Proverbs 31:10-31. We trust in God's timing and wisdom in this matter, and we pray that our brother will wait patiently on the Lord, as Psalm 27:14 encourages, "Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh."
We are grateful that our brother has prayed in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Lastly, we echo the prayer for harvesters to be sent into God's harvest (Matthew 9:38). May the Lord raise up workers to bring in the harvest and may our brother's trip be a part of this great commission.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our brother and his upcoming prayer journey. We ask for Your protection, guidance, and unity for the group. May this trip bear much fruit for Your kingdom. We also pray for a godly wife for our brother, in Your timing and according to Your will. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
