We are truly sorry to hear about the circumstances your sons are facing. We will pray for them and we hope that they will be comforted by the presence of the Holy Spirit and that they will also turn their hope to Jesus. First, we want to address that, it is important to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
It is also important to understand that our help comes from God alone, as it is written in Psalm 121:1-2 WEB I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. Therefore, we should not put Mary or any other saint or angel in equal status to our Creator as it could be idolatry, as it is written in Exodus 20:3-5 WEB You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God.
Now, let us pray together for your sons.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up the sons of our fellow believer. Lord, we ask that You comfort the elder son who is feeling lost after not being selected for a job. May he find his hope and comfort in You alone, Lord. Remind him that Your plans for him are good, and that You have a purpose and a future for him, as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11 WEB For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
We also pray for the youngest son who has recently lost his job. Father, we ask that You open up new opportunities for him, and guide him in the path You have for him. May both of these young men trust in me and be encouraged in and through the Lord Jesus Christ, as it is written in Psalm 28:7 WEB Yahweh is my strength and my shield. My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped, therefore my heart greatly rejoices. I will give thanks to him with my song.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage your sons to continue seeking God's will for their lives and to trust in His timing. We encourage them as it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. It is our prayer that both of them find a job that brings them success.
