We join you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life and your desire for a godly husband. We appreciate that you have prayed in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. It is only by His name that we can be saved. If you have not already, make sure to believe in Jesus dying on the cross for your sins and resurrecting from the dead for your salvation.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ who desires a godly husband. We pray that You will bring the right Christian man into her life, a man who fears You and walks in Your ways. We ask that You prepare both of them for a blessed marriage that honors You and serves as a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
Lord, we know that Your timing is perfect, and we trust that You will bring this godly union to pass at the right time. In the meantime, we pray that our sister will continue to grow in her faith, deepening her relationship with You and becoming the Proverbs 31 woman that You have called her to be.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged by these words from Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Remember that God is faithful and that He cares for you deeply. Continue to trust in Him and seek His will for your life.
In addition, consider the words of 2 Corinthians 6:14, Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? As you seek a godly husband, remember the importance of being equally yoked in Christ. This means that you should look for a man who shares your faith and is committed to following Jesus.
Lastly, consider 1 Corinthians Chapter 7. If you are struggling in sexual immorality or temptation in your current situation, then marriage may be the answer to your current struggles. However, if you are living a content life with no temptations and can live a holy life without a spouse, then consider if now is the right time. Consider 1 Corinthians 7:1-9:
Now concerning the things about which you wrote to me: it is good for a man not to touch a woman. But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. Let the husband render to the wife the affection owed her, and likewise also the wife to the husband. The wife doesn’t have authority over her own body, but the husband. Likewise also the husband doesn’t have authority over his own body, but the wife. Don’t deprive one another, unless it is by consent for a season, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer, and may be together again, that Satan doesn’t tempt you because of your lack of self-control. But I say this by way of concession, not of commandment. Yet I wish that all men were like me. However each man has his own gift from God, one of this kind, and another of that kind. But I say to the unmarried and to widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am. But if they don’t have self-control, let them marry. For it’s better to marry than to burn.
