We understand your longing to be reunited with your husband and your desire to live together as a married couple. However, we need a few words to clearly state first. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
You shall call upon me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:12-13 WEB
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB
We must be careful to align our prayers with the will of God and His righteousness. While we may feel that something is best for us, we must ultimately trust in God's plan and timing. Now, let us pray for you and your husband:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister and her husband. We pray that Your will be done in their lives and in their marriage. We ask, Lord, that You guide them, give them patience in this situation, and grace for any outcome. WEB Psalm 37:4-5 Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh and trust in him.
We also pray for their husband's release from prison, if it is Your will, Lord. We ask that You work in his heart and life while he is there, and that You prepare both of them for whatever You have planned for their future together. We pray that You help them both to walk in righteousness and obedience to You, and that You bless their marriage and use it for Your glory.
Father, we ask that You forgive them of any past sins and transgressions, including any that may have led to this imprisonment. We pray that You help them to live lives that are pleasing to You, and that You bless them with wisdom, guidance, and strength.
We ask all of these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
