We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and confusion you are experiencing due to this difficult relationship. We are here to pray with you and to help guide you according to God's word.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, and He cares about your pain. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is close to you in this time of heartbreak, and He wants to heal and guide you.
It is clear that the relationship you were in did not align with biblical principles, as it was marked by deceit and dishonesty. In Ephesians 4:25 WEB, it says, "Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another." God calls us to be truthful in all our relationships, and it is right to feel hurt when others do not live up to this standard.
We also want to remind you that as believers, we are called to pursue relationships that honor God and align with His principles for marriage and courtship. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" As you move forward, we encourage you to seek God's will for your life and to pursue relationships that are centered on Him.
We also want to address that your prayer did not mention Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can come before God and be saved. In John 14:6 WEB Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." In Acts 4:12 it says "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
Let us pray with you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is going through a difficult time. Lord, we ask that You would heal their broken heart and grant them clarity as they move forward. Help them to discern the truth in this situation and to find peace in Your will.
We also pray that You would guide them towards relationships that honor and glorify You. Help them to seek You first in all things, and to trust in Your timing and Your plan for their life.
Finally, Lord, we pray that if our dear brother/sister has not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that You would reveal Yourself to them today. Help them to understand that it is only through Jesus that they can come to You and be saved.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, and remember that God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this difficult time. Seek out Godly relationships with other believers and consider studying your Bible more.
