Loosing and binding spirits

Does anyone have a list of what spirits to bind and what to loose? I used to have one.

However, it is crucial to understand that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, as stated in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Firstly, we must ensure that our focus remains on the power and authority of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have the authority to bind and loose, as seen in Acts 3 "that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth" a lame man was healed. Let us remember that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved according to Acts 4:12. Since we don't find a list of specific spirits to bind and loose in the Bible, we must always test the spirits to see if they are from God because many false prophets have gone out from this world as 1 John 4 discussed.

Regarding binding, we can bind the spirits that are clearly against the work of God and the welfare of His children. For example, we can bind the spirit of deception (2 John 1:7), the spirit of antichrist (1 John 4:3), and the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). We can also bind spirits that cause division, confusion, and strife, as these are not from God who is the author of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).

Concerning loosing, we can loose spirits that align with God's will and promote His kingdom. We can loose the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17), the spirit of unity (Psalm 133:1), and the spirit of freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). We can also loose spirits that bring life, peace, and joy, as these are fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

On the other hand, we can loose spirits that bring life and align with God's character. We've seen the spirit of joy loosed when we've prayed for God's joy to fill a situation, even in the midst of trials.

We've also found it helpful to remember that our battle is spiritual, as mentioned in Ephesians 6:12. So, we focus on praying in line with God's Word, trusting that His will is being done in heaven as we declare it on earth.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
