Prayers for a marriage that’s on the brink of failing due to financial stress bc one is a habitual spender. Prayers for my family bc it seems as if it’s constantly a struggle. God has been good and he is what holds us together but pray that we rebuke the devil! I am begging for prayers.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage and family life. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical guidance.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God's desire is for marriages to be strong and godly. As it is written in Matthew 19:6 WEB, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Financial stress can be a significant strain, but it is essential to remember that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our finances.

Regarding the issue of one spouse being a habitual spender, it is crucial to approach this situation with love, patience, and open communication. Proverbs 21:20 WEB tells us, "Precious treasure and oil are in the house of the wise; but a foolish man swallows it up." It is important to manage finances wisely and to live within your means. We encourage both of you to come together in humility and create a budget that honors God and helps you to be good stewards of your resources.

For your family's struggles, remember that God is your strength and your portion forever. As the Psalmist says, "For you are my rock and my fortress; Therefore for your name's sake lead me and guide me." Psalm 31:3 WEB.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, lifting up this marriage that is under strain due to financial stress. We pray for wisdom and unity for this couple, that they may manage their finances in a way that honors you. We rebuke the spirit of overspending and pray for a heart change for the spouse who is a habitual spender. Help them to become wise and responsible with their finances.

We also lift up the family that is constantly struggling. We know, Lord, that you are the glue that holds families together. We rebuke the devil and his attempts to destroy this family. We pray for your peace, provision, and guidance for them.

Finally, Lord, we pray that this person will call on you and continuously declare your goodness over their lives. We pray that they and their family will grow stronger in you through these trials and will never forget to call on the name of Jesus Christ. It is in your precious name that we have access to God.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
