We understand that you're going through a difficult time with someone ignoring your messages. It is important you are acknowledging this issue in Jesus name. We will pray for you and provide some biblical guidance. Before we understand our situation better, let's first remember how we walk with Jesus and how he is our source of strength and wisdom.
Let's not forget what James tells us: Consider it nothing but joy, my brothers and sisters, when you fall into various trials. Knowing that the testing of your faith results in endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. (James 1:2-4 WEB) and "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 WEB).
Your situation might be a test to build your faith and strengthen your relationship with the Lord. It could also be the Lord protecting you from a relationship that is not His will for you. Let's remember that God orders our steps: A man's heart plans his course, but the LORD directs his steps (Proverbs 16:9 WEB).
As believers, we are called to be united with other believers and only with believers. As you are asking for God's will, let's remember what the Bible tells us: Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB) We advise that you should make sure he is a fellow Christian believer.
Regarding the silent treatment you're experiencing, let's remember that communication is vital in any relationship. It's important to express feelings and address concerns openly and honestly. As it is written, "Don't let the sun go down on your wrath," (Ephesians 4:26 WEB) it's not good to harbor anger or resentment. Instead of stopping messages, consider expressing your feelings calmly and respectfully if he is a fellow Christian believer.
However, if he continues to ignore your messages, it might be a sign that he is not interested in continuing the relationship. As children of God, we must respect others' feelings and decisions. It is best with the help of the Holy Spirit to walk away from a relationship that is not working out.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ who is seeking Your will for her relationship. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom in this situation. Help her to discern Your will and to have the strength to accept it. We know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. Please remain the God of this situation and give her peace that surpasses all understanding.
If this relationship is not Your will, Lord, we ask that You help her to move forward and trust in Your plan for her life. We pray that You will heal any hurt or disappointment she may be feeling and that You will bring the right godly spouse into her life at the right time.
We also pray for him, that Your will be done in his life. If he is not a believer, we pray that You will draw him to Yourself and that he will come to know You as his personal Savior.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stay strong in the Lord. He is working things out for your good: We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 WEB). Continue to trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.
