You're an extreme optimist, but I differentiate between experiences and have preferences, so I don't equate, say, rushing to make deadlines in a trafficky area with lying on the beach in Tahiti. It's called preferences, you prefer one experience to another. To have one emotion, happiness, all the time, under all circumstances, without noticing the difference,is either a dummy who doesn't understand,or a masochist who likes it.When Jesus said ,"In the world you will have tribulation", He was speaking to Christians.{And Christians who read the Bible, why would an atheist be reading the Bible?}.He didn't deny that while in this world, things could happen.{Like the Christians who were persecuted.just being in denial about it like you wouldn't make it go away.It happened.}Example, if I have a closely scheduled day,and the first appointment runs late,it sets up a "domino effect" that makes me late for all the others. So of course,my PREFERENCE is that everything is according to schedule. Is there something wrong with having a preference on experiences? Wouldn't you rather things go smoothly than obstacles occur? You're just a naturally happy person, so it comes easy to you.You mention Hell, if you think all experiences are good, if you were unsaved and went to hell, you'd probably be happy there too.
