Father God I put our brother and sister into your hands Father I ask for healing for her Father I ask you to send your holy Angels to guide guard and protect them from all evil surround them with your love I ask in the name of JesusI need God's help to face a double challenge. My wife has Stage 3b ovarian cancer and after surgery has chosen not to use chemo and radiation, but instead is using prayer, meditation and a vegan diet. I came to terms with this but then while walking our (leashed) dog, she was accosted by a smaller (unleashed) dog on a morning walk. With one bite, our dog injured the small dog so severely it had to be euthanized. The grieving owners are very angry and want our dog put down as well. Or, they say, we need to move from the neighborhood. Even though I was obeying the leash law and their dog was unleashed, I still grieve the others dog's loss and his owner's feelings. They've agreed that I can pay their large vet, bill but my wife (recovering from surgery) isn't willing to have our rescue dog put to sleep. Neither are we able to move away. Instead, I will only walk the dog only in the countryside where we'll encounter no other dogs or people. Still, most of our neighbors have small dogs and will resent and ostracize us, and possibly even try to have animal control take our dog. We've enjoyed good relations with them this far, and I don't want to live in a hostile environment. I need God's help with the wisdom and strength to handle these two situations (and more), esp. since I'm still working in my retirement years.
