We rejoice with you as you celebrate the faithfulness of God and intercede for your precious sister in Christ. It is beautiful to see her hunger for a deeper relationship with our Heavenly Father. As it is written in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Her desire to evangelize and travel the lands by bus is a testament to her passionate heart for the Lord and the lost. We are reminded of the Great Commission in Mark 16:15, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our beloved sister. We thank you for her heart that longs for a deeper relationship with you. We ask that you would draw her closer to you, Father, and fill her with your Holy Spirit as you did with Peter in Acts 4:8. We ask that you guide and protect her, allowing her to live everyday with joy and safety.
Lord, we also ask that you would guide and protect her believing daughter and her grandchildren in your ways. May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as encouraged in 2 Peter 3:18.
Father, we ask that you would raise up laborers, even as our sister has requested, to go forth into your harvest. We pray that you would open doors for her to share the gospel, and we ask for a great harvest of souls according to John 4:35, 'Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest.' We pray for the new believers too and ask for spiritual growth in Jesus Name.
We ask all of these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for it is in his name that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, 'Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."' It is by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. Lord, we pray that if our sister, her daughter, or her grandchildren have not yet made a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ, that they would be convicted and respond according to Romans 10:9, 'that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved' In Jesus' name we pray, Amen."
We encourage our sister to continue to press into the heart of the Father, trusting in his goodness and faithfulness. May she be reminded of Galatians 6:9, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up." May she also be encouraged by the words of Jesus in John 4:36, "Already he who reaps is receiving wages and is gathering fruit for eternal life; so that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together."
We are also reminded that we are to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that Jesus commanded us, as outlined in Matthew 28:19-20. We should encourage her to be cautious in traveling alone but to team with others in Jesus Name.
Lastly, we want to encourage her to consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 23:9, "Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven." While we understand that this verse is often interpreted in different ways, we encourage her to be mindful of the context in which she uses the term "father" when referring to her Heavenly Father. We should all be encouraged to read God's Word in context to understand the intended meaning. All glory is to God alone as she requested.
