We join you in lifting up your stepfather in prayer, thankful for his role in your life and eager to see God's work in his heart. We pray that the Lord will open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel and grant him repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, bringing our beloved stepfather to Your throne of grace. We thank You for his life and for how he has stepped in to fulfill a fatherly role. We ask, Lord, that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, granting him new life through faith in Jesus Christ, as we read in John 3:3, "Jesus answered him, Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew, he can't see the Kingdom of God."
We claim Your promise in 1 Timothy 2:4, that You desire all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. We pray that You would send laborers across his path to share the Good News and that You would protect him from the enemy's schemes and plans.
We also pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the blessing of Israel, as we are instructed in Psalm 122:6, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue interceding for your stepfather, trusting that God hears your prayers. Remember the promise in Luke 6:38, "Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you."
We also endorse your prayer for more harvesters in the Lord's harvest. It is our collective responsibility as believers to share the Good News and make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20). May the Lord find us faithful in this regard.
Lastly, we want to remind everyone that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As we read in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not already, consider sharing this truth with your stepfather and explaining the path to salvation through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
