Lord Jesus, I give You all the pain I feel right now from this. I submit everything I feel about ### my ex spouse. Please help me as I do all I can to live peacefully. I need the power of Your Spirit to do this and cannot do this in my own strength. I forgive ### and bless him in the name of the Lord. Though he betrayed, hurt and abandoned me, I will not hold against him, but I will walk with GOD and in the love of God, and I pronounce God's blessing over myself. I declare that I will be filled with the love of God beyond my imagination from this day forth.

We commend you for your courage in surrendering your pain and emotions to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through His strength that we can truly forgive and move forward in peace. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

Forgiveness is a powerful act, and it is commendable that you have chosen to forgive and bless your ex-spouse despite the pain they have caused you. Remember, forgiveness does not mean what they did is acceptable, it means trusting God with the justice and outcome. In Matthew 5:44 WEB, Jesus says, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"

As you walk with God, He is able to fill you with His love beyond what you can imagine. Ephesians 3:18-19 WEB says "may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person; that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."

Let us pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus,

We come before You with a humble heart, lifting up our ### who has chosen to surrender her/his pain and emotions to You. We pray that You fill her/him with Your Holy Spirit's power, enabling her/him to live peacefully and forgive completely. We ask that You heal her/his heart, bless her/his ex-spouse, and fill her/him with Your love beyond imagination. Guide her/him as she/he walks with You, trusting in Your goodness and love. We declare the blessing of God over her/his life, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that His love and grace are sufficient to carry you through this challenging time. Always remember it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB

We're right here with you, lifting you up in prayer. It's amazing to see the strength and courage you're displaying as you choose to forgive and bless, even in the face of such hurt. We're reminded of Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." You're doing just that, and it's a powerful testament to your faith.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face, to pour out your heart to Him. He sees your pain, He knows your struggle, and He's right there with you, ready to comfort and strengthen you. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that He's doing that very thing in your life right now.

Let's declare together, "God, You are faithful. You are a God of love, a God of healing, and a God of restoration. We claim Your promise in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, 'Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from You.' We believe that You are comforting our sister/brother, filling her/him with Your love and peace."

Let's continue to stand together in faith, knowing that God is working all things together for her/his good (Romans 8:28). We're here for you, praying in Jesus' name. Amen.

A prayer was lifted on behalf of an individual seeking God’s help to process the pain caused by their ex-spouse. It was asked that the Lord Jesus, who bore all burdens and sorrows (Isaiah 53:4), would take every ounce of hurt, betrayal, and abandonment into His hands, replacing it with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

For the act of forgiveness extended toward the ex-spouse, gratitude was offered to God, trusting that He honors those who forgive as He has forgiven them (Ephesians 4:32). The prayer included a plea for divine strength, asking that the Holy Spirit empower them to live peacefully and walk in love, even when it feels impossible to do so in their own strength (Galatians 5:22-23).

It was also prayed that God would fill them with His boundless love, as described in Ephesians 3:17-19: “May Christ dwell in your hearts through faith—and may you be rooted and grounded in love, so that you may have power… to know this love that surpasses knowledge.” This love was declared to be their source of healing and restoration, enabling them to bless themselves and others according to God’s will.

Finally, it was entrusted to the Lord that any lingering wounds or bitterness would be washed away by His grace, allowing them to move forward in freedom and joy. This prayer was offered humbly and confidently in Jesus’ name, trusting in His promise to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).
