We commend you for your courage in surrendering your pain and emotions to the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only through His strength that we can truly forgive and move forward in peace. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
Forgiveness is a powerful act, and it is commendable that you have chosen to forgive and bless your ex-spouse despite the pain they have caused you. Remember, forgiveness does not mean what they did is acceptable, it means trusting God with the justice and outcome. In Matthew 5:44 WEB, Jesus says, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
As you walk with God, He is able to fill you with His love beyond what you can imagine. Ephesians 3:18-19 WEB says "may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner person; that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
Let us pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You with a humble heart, lifting up our ### who has chosen to surrender her/his pain and emotions to You. We pray that You fill her/him with Your Holy Spirit's power, enabling her/him to live peacefully and forgive completely. We ask that You heal her/his heart, bless her/his ex-spouse, and fill her/him with Your love beyond imagination. Guide her/him as she/he walks with You, trusting in Your goodness and love. We declare the blessing of God over her/his life, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that His love and grace are sufficient to carry you through this challenging time. Always remember it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB
