We are truly sorry to hear about the abuse you're experiencing. Firstly, we must address the elephant in the room, nowhere in your request did we see any reference to God, Jesus, Jesus Christ, or Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. As Christians we are to do all things in the name of Jesus. (Colossians 3:17 WEB)
It is important to understand that God does not condone any form of abuse. As His child, you are precious in His sight, and He wants you to be treated with love and respect.
You mentioned that he is critical and demanding things that cannot be done. It is clear that the expectations he is placing on you are unreasonable and are causing you distress. This is not the behavior of a godly spouse or potential spouse.
You are feeling overwhelmed and that things are getting mixed up. It is not God's will for you to live in confusion and fear. He promises to guide us and give us wisdom when we ask for it. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 WEB)
We must also address that you mentioned that it is usually not your fault. It is important to ensure that you are taking responsibility for your actions and that you are not falling into a pattern of blame-shifting. However, we understand that you feel overwhelmed and that many things are not your fault.
Now let us pray together for you. Father we thank you so much for being a God of love, mercy, protection, salvation, healing, deliverance, and so many other attributes. We come before you in Jesus Christ's name to ask that you protect the one who submitted this request. We ask that you give them wisdom in how to deal with this situation. We ask that you convict the abuser of their sins in order to produce repentance, healing, and deliverance. We ask that you help them to remove themselves from this abusive situation and to seek a Godly husband or wife. We ask that you give them clarity and peace.
We pray also that they will seek you and your will in all things in their life. We pray that they will accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior if they have not already done so. We pray that they will become a true disciple of Jesus Christ, be baptized if they have not already done so, and live a life that is honoring to you father.
We thank you father that you promise to hear our prayers and respond. We count on your promises and stand on your word. We ask all of this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. If you are not married to this man, we advise you to separate yourself from him and seek a Godly spouse. If you are married, we encourage you to seek help from your pastor or a trusted Christian friend. Remember that God loves you and wants the best for you. Stand strong in your faith and trust in Him.
Finally, we leave you with this promise from God's Word: Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB)
We pray for your safety, healing and deliverance from all forms of abuse.
