Father I ask for your strength and deliverance from alcohol addiction. I don't like being trapped in this addiction.

We understand that you're struggling with alcohol addiction and seeking God's strength and deliverance. Firstly, we want to commend you for recognizing the issue and reaching out for help.
Let's remember what the WEB says in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it."
God promises to provide a way out of temptation, and He is faithful to help you overcome this addiction. However, it's crucial to turn to Him wholeheartedly and be willing to do your part, for the WEB tells us in James 4:7-8, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
As you seek deliverance, ensure you're not just trying to break free from the addiction, but also drawing closer to God. Fill the void with His presence and word. We recommend joining a support group that aligns with biblical principles and seeking counsel from a pastor or a trusted Christian friend. The church is here to help you in your journey.
We want to leave you with these two scriptures:
Ephesians 5:18 "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit," and
Galatians 5:1 "For freedom Christ has made us free. Stand firm therefore, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage."

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with alcohol addiction. We ask for Your strength and deliverance in their life, knowing that You are faithful to provide a way out. Help them to draw near to You, filling the void with Your presence and word. Guide them to the right support group and counsel, empowering them to overcome this addiction. In Jesus Christ name, we pray.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep seeking God and His word. Remember, it is only in the name of Jesus that we can be delivered from sin and be saved. If you haven't already, consider committing or recommitting your life to Jesus Christ. Believe in Him, repent from your sins, and follow Him, for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
