We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you are facing with your coworker. It is commendable that you have shown kindness and generosity, going the extra mile in your interactions. However, it is disheartening that this has not been reciprocated. We must remember that God sees all that is done in secret and will reward accordingly. As it is written in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB: "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
In dealing with this situation, we must first remember Jesus' words in Matthew 5:44 WEB: "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you," This does not mean we should allow or accept wrongdoing, but rather, we should maintain a heart of love and forgiveness, even as we stand against injustice.
Moreover, we must firmly stand against racism and any form of prejudice. In Acts 10:34-35 WEB, Peter proclaims, "I truly understand that God does not show favoritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him." Racism is an abomination to God, and we must not tolerate it.
Regarding her broken promises and excuses, it is important to hold her accountable. In Matthew 5:37 WEB, Jesus teaches, "But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes' and your 'No' be 'No.' Whatever is more than these is of the evil one." Honesty and integrity are crucial in our interactions.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister who is facing difficulties with her coworker. We pray that You would intervene in this situation and bring about a change of heart in her coworker. Help our sister to continue showing love and kindness, even in the face of adversity. Give her the strength to stand against injustice and racism, and the wisdom to hold her coworker accountable for her actions. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's face regarding this matter. Trust that He is faithful and just, and will work all things together for your good, as it is promised in Romans 8:28 WEB: "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
