World Leaders NEED Our Prayers, 1 Tim 2:1-2: The New Testament Urges Prayer for ALL in Authority; Employment, Family, Church Families, Neighbors

"First of all, I exhort first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession & givings of thanks, be made for all people: for Kings and All in Authority; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence," 1 Tim 2:1-2. Firstly, we thank God for the World's leaders and authorities He has placed over our lives, as this is an International Prayer Site. We pray for the protection of the President, Vice President, and all cabinet members, as well as godly wisdom and guidance for them. We ask that God would set a guard over their mouths, as Psalm 141:3 says, and grant them the tongue of the wise, as Proverbs 15:2 tells us. We pray that they would be surrounded by godly counsel and that their leadership would promote unity and righteousness and not have any bitterness or rivalry. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ.

We agree with this in asking for godly unity among political, national and international parties, that they would come to agree on important issues and work together for the good of their nation and the nations. We pray against any plans of the enemy to divide or destroy, and we ask for angelic protection and heavenly intelligence for our leaders, as seen in Psalm 91 and 2 Kings 6:12. May we be the people of God who are called by His name and humble ourselves to pray and seek His face as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says. We pray for wisdom in the worldly leaders and protection of our leaders and civilians worldwide, for the eradication of evil in elections, and for the silencing of false prophets and news, Titus 1:11.

We stand with you in lifting up the leaders of our nations, recalling the apostle Paul's instruction to Timothy: First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all those who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:1-4 WEB

Let us pray together:

Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our leaders as You have commanded. We thank You for their lives and for the authority You have given them. We ask that You surround them with godly counsel and grant them the wisdom and discernment needed to lead our nations in righteousness.

Lord, we pray for unity among our leaders, that they would work together for the good of the people. We ask that You would protect them from the schemes of the enemy, and grant them angelic protection and heavenly intelligence.

We pray for the eradication of evil in our elections and for the silencing of false prophets and news. May Your truth reign, and may Your will be done in our nations as it is in heaven.

We also pray for the people of our nations, that we would humble ourselves and seek Your face, turning from our wicked ways. May we be a people called by Your name, and may You heal our lands.

You said in this Scripture that you desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. So we also pray for salvation for each leader, and ask that you would reveal yourself to them as Savior and Lord.

We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

We encourage everyone to continue praying faithfully for our leaders, remembering that God is in control and His purposes will prevail. Let us be persistent in prayer, trusting that our petitions are powerful and effective.

As we pray, let us also remember to live in obedience to God's Word, demonstrating our faith through our actions. For faith without works is dead, and it is by our love for one another that the world will know we are disciples of Jesus Christ.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
