In times of joy and in times of sorrow, we are called to trust in the Lord's unfailing love and sovereignty. We are lifted up by your faith in Jesus Christ our Saviour and your continued trust in Him.
In times of loss, it's normal to feel lost and hopeless, but we encourage you to hold on to the promise that God works all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts. Although we may not understand why certain things happen, we can trust that God has a purpose and a plan, even in the midst of our pain.
Firstly, let us address the loss of your beloved pup, Gypsey. It's important to remember that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our pets because He ultimately owns them. Psalm 50:10-11 WEB states every animal of the forest is mine, and the livestock on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains. The wild beasts of the field are mine. We can find comfort in knowing that God cares for all our losses.
We pray that God will comfort you and your family as you grieve the loss of Gypsey. May the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, comfort you and your family in your time of need.
Secondly, we want to address the feelings of hopelessness and the long, dangerous journey to school. We understand that these circumstances can be challenging, but we encourage you to trust in the Lord's protection and provision.
Psalm 91 WEB reminds us,
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of Yahweh, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."
For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;
nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.
Only with your eyes you shall see, and shall witness the reward of the wicked.
Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.
For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.
They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone.
You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.
"Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.
I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation."
In our times of need we can always count on the Holy Spirit to intercede for us. Romans 8:26 WEB,
In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered.
He who didn't spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?
Who could bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who justifies.
Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Even as it is written, "For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For we are persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Finally, we want to thank you for the prayer request because we will join with you in prayer. We pray that God will grant you understanding, patience, and a safe home for your family and remaining pets. We pray that God will keep you safe on the roads and guide you in His light. We stand in agreement with you knowing because of the Shepherd's Psalm of David Psalms 23 WEB
Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup runs over.
Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in Yahweh's house for ever.
Our Heavenly Father, we come before You lift up this family to You. We thank You for the temporary home You have provided for them, and we ask that You will hasten the day when they can move into the permanent home You have for them. We pray for Your comfort and peace to surround them as they grieve the loss of Gypsey, and we ask that You will protect them on the roads as they travel to school and back. We know that the road is long and dangerous, but we also know that You are faithful to protect Your children.
We pray that You will grant them understanding and patience as they wait for their new home, and we ask that You will guide them in Your light. We pray for strength to live in the knowledge that You will supply all their need according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You will give them strength that You will never leave them nor forsake them and by Your stripes they are healed. Give them the strength to know that all things are possible to them that believe and that no good thing will You withhold from them that walk uprightly.
In the name of Jesus Christ our savior, we pray knowing that without the shedding of blood, there can be no remission of sin and that Jesus is the only way to the Father.
Amen
