We understand your desperation in seeking answers and we join you in your petition to our Lord Jesus Christ. In times of distress and uncertainty, it's comforting to know that God is always with us, even in the midst of trials. The Bible tells us, "Behold, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:20 WEB)
Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus. This is vital because as the Bible says "For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) and "whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB).
In your situation, it's important to remember that God's timing is perfect. Sometimes, we may not immediately know the answers to our questions, but we can trust that God, in His sovereignty, has a purpose for everything. I'm not sure if you have tried this or not but perhaps taking this animal to the vet ...they likely will know what happened and how to fix its tongue.. .they specialize in helping animals that have a disease or something else seriously wrong. It's just a suggestion and maybe you have already tried this. Otherwise, praying for healing in Jesus' name for this pet..who knows what happened but praying for healing regardless,...
