Understanding what comes first; wants or righteousness?

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. New Living Translation

* Seek God first over everything.
* Live through His righteouness,
* Then and only then,
* The Father will give you what you need.

God knows what you need but it may be not neccessarily what you wanted. God is your Anchor, your thoughts and your actions. The old gives way to the new. If you change your heart, you will change your world, and often enough you will abandoned many of your old wants.

With Christ at your center, you pray for your needs.

Every Christian should keep God first. While we may not bow down to a golden calf, the temptation to idolatry is very much alive in our day and world! Do we serve the three Ps—personal freedom, political power, and prosperity—or the Lord?

I keep God first. And I pray that I always will.

What comes to our life on earth should be to love God above all things and love His word. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Burning desire down deep in our soul should be to seek those things that are above, not the things of the earth where everything will pass away and perish in time.

This condition of being in right relationship with the Lord make us all responsible with our attitude, our desires and our wants. Jesus has given us a wonderful example of living a holy and pure life before His Father in heaven. Jesus was not involved in politics, He was not looking after riches and glory of this world. He did not have a place to live. He wanted all of us to set our eyes on eternity. On those things that lasts forever. My kindgom is not of this world... He said to Pilate. Jesus kingdom is an everlasting kingdom and we are heading to that kingdom Jesus is preparing for you and for me.

During a teaching session of Jesus the people were anxiously awaiting the a announcement of an earthly kingdom. But Jesus explained to them that the earthly things should not be their first priority. He impressed upon them that making material things their supreme priority would make them more like the heathen people about them.
Jesus reminded them that God was always aware and concerned about their needs even before they ask.about them.
He instructed His followers to make the Kingdom of righteousness their priority.They should practice peace and love and make God's service their highest interest.
Yes,it is a spiritual kingdom but if they serve the Lord sincerely..He has power in Heaven and on Earth a d will provide for their physical needs.Jesus does not release us from the necessity of efforts but He assures us that all things needed in thisife will be added if it pleases Him.
So, what haveI to dread? What have I to fear when I am leaning on the everlasting arms?
