Walking away?

Been going through hell with this divorce of ### years. Attempt suicide and lost everything. I'm still here but not sure why. My ex wife is beating me up so bad, into submission, of having no other choice than walk away. All three kids hate me. Work way too much to give it all away. Had ### new court cases filed against me today by ex wife ### new lawyer. I'm mentally and physically exhausted...ready to give up fighting for the kids. Why do we have to fight more after the divorce anyways? Does God hear me and care? Why am I even here...what good can I do?

Please know that your life is precious and that God has a purpose for you. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope."

Firstly, we want to address the fact that you haven't mentioned the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to call upon His name and trust in Him for your salvation and comfort.

Regarding the divorce and the battles you're facing, we want to remind you that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). However, we understand that sometimes it becomes a reality due to various circumstances. It's crucial to keep trusting God even in this situation. As for the fights and the court cases, Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:39, "But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also." This doesn't mean you shouldn't stand up for your rights, but rather, it encourages you to respond with love and wisdom instead of bitterness and revenge.

Concerning your children, continue to love and pray for them. Their current feelings may stem from the pain and confusion of the divorce. Keep being a godly example to them, and trust that God will work in their hearts. Remember, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).

Dear Heavenly Father,

We lift up this dear soul to You, asking for Your comfort and intervention in their life. Lord, they are going through immense pain and hopelessness. Please reveal Your love and purpose for them. Guide them through this difficult divorce, and help them respond with love and wisdom. Soften the hearts of their children and ex-wife, and bring peace and resolution to the court cases. Remember them, Lord, and let them know that You hear their cries and care deeply for them.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we strongly advise you to seek professional help regarding your suicidal thoughts. There are people who care and want to help. Please reach out to a counselor or a trusted friend. God loves you, and so do we. Keep fighting the good fight, knowing that your life has value and purpose.
