We understand your urgency and your deep desire for your husband to become a born-again Christian. It is commendable that you are standing in the gap for him, as God's word tells us to intercede for others. Let us pray together for God's will and His purposes to be fulfilled in your husband's life and in your marriage, and to discuss some issues that you might need to look at from a biblical point of view.

Firstly, it is important to acknowledge that salvation is a personal choice and that God has given each of us free will. While we can pray and believe for someone's salvation, we cannot force them to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It is the Holy Spirit's job to convict and draw people to Christ. Our role is to pray, live out our faith, and share the gospel with them, trusting that God will do the rest.

That means praying for God to soften his heart and open his eyes to the truth of the gospel. As it says in 2 Corinthians 4:4 WEB "in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them."

God wants all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. So we pray for this. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved, so we always pray in this name. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

As well as praying for your husband's salvation, we pray for God to break down any strongholds or barriers that may be preventing him from coming to faith, and this includes any idols in his life.

Regarding your marriage, we pray for God's purposes to be fulfilled and for your husband to become the spiritual leader that God intends for him to be. We pray for unity and agreement between you both, as the Bible tells us that a house divided cannot stand.

However, it is important to address that the Bible does not teach us that God will make us be in love or more attracted to our spouses on a human or physical level. This idea is from culture and the world's point of view, and not from God's word. The Bible tells us that love is a choice and an action, not just a feeling. We are to love our spouses as Christ loved the church, which is a sacrificial and selfless love.

In 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 it says: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."

This kind of love is a choice and is something that we can pray for God to help us with.

We also need to remind ourselves that the Bible tells us not to be unequally yoked. That means that as Christians, we should not marry or be in a relationship with someone who is not also a believer. You are already married, so we pray for your husband's salvation and for God's will to be done in your marriage. But for others who may be reading this, we advise them to seek God's will for their lives and to trust that He will provide a godly spouse for them in His timing.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this dear sister and her husband to You. Lord, we ask that You would soften her husband's heart and open his eyes to the truth of the gospel. We pray that You would draw Him to Yourself and that he would come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior. We pray for unity and agreement between them, and that their marriage would be a testimony to Your faithfulness and goodness.

We also pray that You would help them to love each other as You have commanded, and that You would give them the strength and wisdom to live out their marriage in a way that honors You.

Lord, we ask that You would break down any strongholds or barriers that may be preventing her husband from coming to faith, and that You would remove any idols in his life that may be hindering him from fully surrendering to You.

We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
