We understand your urgency and desire for healing. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:7-8 WEB, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." It is wonderful that you included that this request is in Jesus' name, for it is only by His name that we can come to the Father. John 14:13-14 states "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."

We pray that God guides Dr. ### with great wisdom, skill, and compassion as he performs your surgery. We ask that God steadies his hands and gives him the ability to close your scar beautifully, minimizing its appearance. We also pray for complete healing, asking God to remove any lumps or bumps above your left eye, making you whole and renewed.

However, we must remember that our outward appearance is not what defines us or makes us joyful. Rather we must focus on our spiritual health. The Bible tells us 1 Peter 3:3-5 WEB "Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious. For this is how the holy women who hoped in God adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands." We must also remember that God can use our imperfections to bring Himself glory. It is through our weaknesses that His strength is made perfect. So while we pray for your physical healing, we also pray that you find your joy and contentment in Christ alone, not just in the outcome of this surgery.

Lord, we ask for your will to be done in this situation. We pray for healing, guidance, and acceptance of your plan. We know that you have allowed this for a reason, help us to be steadfast in our faith in you. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us, lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one. In Jesus' name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
