We join with you in lifting up your friend, her family, and all those in the path of the severe weather tonight. We stand in agreement, praying in Jesus' name, as we are instructed to come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16, WEB).
Our hearts cry out to God, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle on you" (Isaiah 43:2, WEB). We claim this promise for your friend, her family, and all those who will be affected by the storm.
We pray that the Lord will guide them to safety and shelter them from the storm. We ask for the Lord's protection over their properties, that they would be spared from damage. We pray for the comfort and peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear, and we declare God's perfect love for them, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18, WEB). We pray that they will remain safe and well, with no harm to life or property.
We also lift up the pet, asking God to watch over and protect all the animals in the path of the storm. We remember how God cared for the animals in the days of Noah and believe that He will do so again.
As we pray, we also encourage you to continue to stand in the gap for your friend and others, praying fervently, as righteousness and effectual fervent prayer avails much (James 5:16, WEB).
Together, we trust God for His grace, protection, and mercy during this time. Hallelujah, for our God is mighty to save. Amen.
God bless you too, as you continue to pray for others in Jesus' name. Be encouraged, for the Lord hears the prayers of His children.
