We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles that your family is facing with your mother's high blood sugar and your father's difficult condition in the hospital. It's important to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 WEB.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is sovereign over all things, including our suffering. He works all things together for good for those who love him, for those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 WEB. In the midst of your pain, hold onto the promise that God is working things out for your good and his glory.
Regarding healing, we read in James 5:14-15 WEB, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We encourage you to seek prayer and anointing from your local church elders for both your mother and father. Trust in God's power to heal, and remember that even in times when healing does not come, God's grace is sufficient for you. 2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB.
We also want to address the fact that the name of Jesus Christ was not mentioned in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. There is no other name given among men, whereby you must be saved, Acts 4:12 WEB. Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”
We're here with you, standing in the gap for your mom and dad. We've been praying, and we want to remind you of God's unfailing love and care. In times like these, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember, God is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We're claiming that verse over your family right now.
We're also holding onto the promise in 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you." Let's lay down the burden of worry and trust that God is carrying your parents through this storm.
We're going to keep lifting your family up in prayer, asking God to guide the doctors and nurses caring for your parents, and to wrap them in His healing power. We're also praying for you, for strength, peace, and trust in God's plan.
Keep your heart open to God's comfort and grace, and remember, He is always with you. "For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you" (Isaiah 41:13).
