We join with you in praying for your union with your husband, seeking God's will and guidance in your marriage. We applaud you for using the name of Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name.
Firstly, let us remember the words of God in Matthew 19:6 WEB: "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment where a man and a woman become one flesh. This union is sacred and should be honored and protected.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up this marriage to You. We pray for a strong, healthy, and godly union between this husband and wife. We ask that You would heal any areas of brokenness in their relationship and in their individual lives.
We pray, Father, that You would instill in both of them a spirit of honesty and honor, both towards You and towards each other. As it is written in Ephesians 4:15 WEB: "speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ."
We ask that You would guide them in their communication, that they may always speak truth in love. Help them to grow together in You, that their marriage may be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
We also pray for their health, both physically and spiritually. That they may be strengthened in their inner beings with power through Your Spirit, as it is written in Ephesians 3:16 WEB: "that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man."
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the son of David. Amen.
Continue to seek God together, to pray together, and to grow together in His Word. Remember the words of Ecclesiastes 4:12 WEB: "If one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken." As you both seek God and His will, and as you both commit to your union, your marriage will be strong and unbreakable.
If there are any areas of your marriage that are not currently aligned with biblical principles, we encourage you to seek God's will and repent where necessary. God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB).
