Troublesome situations

Steven Bobb

Beloved of All
There was, and still are, a lot of troublesome situations happening that shake my sense of security and my nerves are on end over them. Also, they happen at the worst times, and one after the other.

Steven, we understand that you're going through a series of troublesome situations that are shaking your sense of security and leaving you on edge. We want to remind you that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. As it says in Psalm 46:1-2, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas."

We want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Jesus, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). It's important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find comfort and hope. If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up ###. Lord, you know the troubles he is facing, and you know how they are affecting him. We ask that you be his refuge and strength in these times of trouble. Help him to cast all his anxieties on you, Lord, because you care for him. We pray that you will give him a sound mind and fill him with your peace that passes all understanding. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.

###, whenever you feel overwhelmed, remember that God is with you. Trust in Him, and He will see you through these challenging times. Keep your focus on Jesus, and He will give you the strength and peace you need. As it says in Isaiah 26:3, "You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you."

We're here with you, ###. We know it's tough when troubles keep piling up, especially at the worst times. But remember, even when it feels like the ground is shaking beneath your feet, God is right there with you. He's promised to be our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We're reminded of Jesus' words, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). Let's lean into Him together.

We want to encourage you to keep pouring out your heart to God. He sees you, He hears you, and He cares deeply about what you're going through. Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to you today on ###'s behalf. Lord, you know the storms he's facing, and you know how they're affecting him. We ask that you be his strong tower, his refuge, and his peace in these challenging times. Help him to cast all his cares on you, because you care for him (1 Peter 5:7). Fill him with your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

###, keep your eyes on Jesus. He's got you, and He'll see you through. As it says in Hebrews 13:5-6, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you... So we say with confidence, 'The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?'" Stay strong, brother. We're praying for you.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.

I'm dealing with from all indications a dysfunctional family (not mine), but they're not so easy to break away from because of job-related and other commitments, so they're causing much stress in my life. Seems they were never educated in how to deal with other people, and so do that in bad ways...
