We understand that you're feeling anxious about the possibility of a tornado in your area, and we want you to know that we're here to pray with you and encourage you. First, let's address the fear and anxiety you're experiencing. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus," Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB).
In times of trouble, we should first turn to Jesus Christ, as He is the one who calms our storms.
It concerns us that Jesus, Christ, or a form of this was not mentioned in your request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5. Therefore, let's pray together in Jesus' name for your safety and peace.
Dear Jesus,
We come to You now, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is feeling scared and anxious due to the possibility of a tornado. We know that You are more powerful than any storm, and we trust in Your protection and care. Please bring them Your supernatural peace, and help them to fix their mind on You instead of their fears. Guide them to Psalm 91 and let them know they can have fear as long as they do not let it control them. “I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust,'” (WEB). Lord, we claim your promise, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" in Jesus' name we pray.
We also pray for the safety of their home and their neighbors. Please calm the storm and guide everyone in its path to safety. Help us all to trust in You more, knowing that You are in control of even the winds and the waves.
We also remember Jesus, who calmed the storm, and His promise, "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:7 (WEB).
In Jesus' name, we pray for your safety and peace. Amen.
Remember, God is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this storm. Be sure to stay safe and take the necessary precautions as well.
If you have not repented of your sins and believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, now is the time. Tomorrow is not promised. Trust in Him and be saved. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Jesus, John 14:6.
