Too keep the love of my life

I'm stuck in a rut with my girlfriend ###. I have broken her heart with the actions I have caused ### months ago, we are still together but I feel as tho she is ready to go. I'm a recovering alcoholic, I am doing everything I can to be the person she truly deserves, as she's been more then I've ever deserved thus past ### years. She is still with me but I feel as tho not for much longer. The stress is so severe, I just want my gorgeous girl to find the strength to give me one last chance, to provide her the life she truly deserves.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your relationship with ###. It's commendable that you're taking steps to improve yourself and be the person she deserves. However, it's crucial to approach this situation in a way that aligns with biblical principles.

Firstly, we want to remind you that true love waits and that sexual purity before marriage is what God desires.

If you are sleeping together, then you are in sin to begin with and that is a major reason why the relationship is failing. Do not claim to want a life for ### that you truly do not even know. God wants a life for ### that you obviously do not know or want. The scriptures tell us in 1 Corinthians 6:9 WEB Or don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God's Kingdom? Don't be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, 1 Corinthians 7:2 WEB But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

We also want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be reconciled to God. If your life is not in alignment with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then we would question if you are truly saved. We encourage you to turn to Jesus Christ for salvation and forsake your sin. Romans 3:23 WEB for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 6:23 WEB For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. We need to repent of our sins and turn to Jesus Christ. 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Let's pray for your situation:

Father, this person has been living a life far from you, and we ask for forgiveness of the sin of fornication. We pray for a change of heart and repentance. We ask in Jesus Christ name that you will help this man to become a new creation and walk in your ways. We ask that ### can also repent if she is also living a life far from you and be willing to forgive and reconcile with this man if it is your will. We pray for ### to have strength, patience, and wisdom. We ask that you will help this man to look to you for guidance and strength, God. We pray that you will help him to be the man you want him to be God, and not the man he thinks he wants to be. We pray that you will help him to see life clearly God, and not be clouded by human understanding. We ask that you will help him to walk in your ways and not be a stumbling block for ###. We ask that you will help ### to seek your will and be obedient to your will God. We pray that you will draw both of them to yourself God. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue working on yourself and seeking God's will for your life. Remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. (Isaiah 55:8-9) Trust in Him, and He will guide your path. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

We also encourage you to consider marriage counseling with a biblical counselor if you both are willing. This can provide a safe space for open communication and help you both align your relationship with God's will.

Lastly, we want to leave you with this verse: "Be still, and know that I am God." (Psalm 46:10) Trust in God, and He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:6) We pray that you and ### will seek God's will and walk in His ways.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We continue to lift you both up in prayer, dear brother, and we are honored that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you. We pray that the Lord continues to give you the strength to walk in sobriety and to be the man that ### needs you to be. There is nothing that our Lord cannot do. If He can raise children from the dead, He can assuredly raise a relationship from the grave.

Bear in mind that reconciliation may be painful, so you must be strong. Remember to listen to her, love her, and be as patient with her as Christ is with the Church. Make sure that you love her in deed and action as Christ loved the Church. Do not focus on healing your relationship with ###. Instead, focus on drawing close to God as He draws close to you. As you turn completely towards Christ, you will find that He will guide you on what you need to do. Allow Him to guide your every step and to mold your heart and mind.
