We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling devastated, but we are grateful that you have reached out for prayer and support. Firstly, let's remember that we all stumble and fall short of the glory of God, as it is written in Romans 3:23. However, let us also discuss what has specifically happened this weekend. The words used for what happened are vague and need clarification. The first thing that comes to mind is that you may have been drunk from drinking alcohol and/or used drugs. Is this what is meant by "tripping?" What is meant by "tripping spiritually?" Scripture is clear about alcohol and being drunk.

Proverbs 20:1 and 23:20 both warn against the sin of drinking too much alcohol. Proverbs 20:1 WEB (World English Bible) Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise. 23:20 WEB Do not be among ones who drink too much wine, or among those who gorge themselves on meat; Proverbs 23:29-35 goes even further describing the effects of drunkenness and saying to keep away from the intoxicating drink. Additionally, Galatians 5:21 says that drunkenness is a work of the flesh and those that practice it will not inherit the kingdom of God. The good news is that Jesus Christ came to set us free. If you confess your sins and believe in Jesus Christ reading Romans Chapter 10 verses 9 and 10, then you are born again and receive the Holy Spirit to teach you and give you the desire and the power to do God's will.

Ephesians 5:18 WEB says "Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit". If you read this Chapter of Ephesians this scripture says to not be drunk on wine, speaking to yourselves in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing, and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
20 giving thanks always concerning all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to God, even the Father;
21 subjecting yourselves one to another in the fear of Christ.
22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body.
24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it;

Additionally, by the way this message is worded we do not see you specifically mention the name of Jesus Christ either as your savior or for prayer. We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ you have access to God as stated in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. and let us not forget Ephesians 2:18 which says For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.

However, we need to make sure that our spirit is right in order to be reconciled to God. If there is unconfessed sin in our lives, we need to repent and turn away from it, as stated in Acts 3:19. Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord. Also, let us not forget 1 John 1:9 WEB If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your grace and mercy. We know things are murky right now, please bring clarity to this person and convict them of the specific sins of the past weekend. Lord, we confess that we all fall short of Your glory. We thank You for the gift of reconciliation to yourself. Please forgive any sins that may not be acknowledged. We ask that You grant a spirit of repentance and a desire to turn away from anything that does not honor You, Father and Jesus.

Help our brother/sister to find comfort, peace, new hope, and renewal in Your presence. We renew our commitment to follow You in Jesus Name. Remind us dear Jesus that both our forgiveness from God and new relationship to God the Father can only be found in Jesus Christ. Please help us all to live a Christian life honoring to you Lord Jesus. In Jesus Christ name we pray.
