We are in a battle with the enemy. We can acknowledge this truth or not, but the word of God says, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." -Ephesians 6:12. With our lives we must always fight and struggle against the darkness that seeks to have our souls. Since our very first breath in this life we all have been partakers in what we all know as the great struggle. This struggle is against the evil that floods this world.
As the battle raged on and on many had fought brilliantly and some had made great strides in the faith. As believer after believer fought the good fight of faith and drew their swords against the enemy they were able to overcome the enemy with amazing strength and promise. When more battles were won their armor grew more bright like as if it was shining. The amor that the believers were wearing was amazing and made them look so valiant, and you could see the brightness from their armor shine on their faces. But suddenly I seen an enemy horde coming from behind them and at the forefront of this horde was a banner that read "pride." Suddenly this enemy horde had attacked these Christians from behind and many fell down never to get back up again. As I looked I noticed that they only had armor in the front and not the back. It was so tragic to see so many grow in the Lord only to see them fall from an enemy called pride. This had become a great reminder that from anywhere and at any path we take we can fall and be overtaken at anytime. But the most sobering thought was that after every victory we are actually the most vulnerable. Those men and women that have been to the greatest hights with the Lord must remember that they are in danger of falling. Most men fall after a great victory.
When I seen my brothers and sisters fall I couldn't bring myself together and I thought "how could this happen?" and suddenly I could feel hope slipping from my body and as tears started running down my face I heard a voice call out to me. "child!! you must get up! you must never stop fighting..." and as I turned around it was an angel. He wore a sash around his torso that read "wisdom." I then realized this was the angel of wisdom and he spoke to me saying, "here! put this on and don't stop wearing it." He then gave me a dirty mantle and I was to wear it over my armor. The angel of wisdom then explained to me that the believers never wore this mantle while in the battle against pride. He said that the light shining from their armor was actually blinding them and caused pride to go unnoticed and attack them from behind. Many people have a hard time seeing this enemy because of the great victories and confidence in themselves. But it struck me, How could wearing a dirty mantle help you? how could a dirty rag save you and protect you from the enemies blows. When I looked closer at this mantle I read something.. It was in dirty writing and I could barley make out the lettering but it wrote... "humility."
Wisdom then explained to me that this mantle must be kept on you at all times during the battle because it will stop you from seeing your own achievements and victories and it will also help you to see the enemy of pride more easily in your life. As I looked at wisdom I could see his face grow very serious as he watched the great battle take place. I could feel the intensity of his heart breaking as he seen many Christians fall, and suddenly he turned around and looked at me and said, "child! ask for my help at anytime during the battle and never.. never lose your hope. Wear this mantle and the enemy will not penetrate your armor."

The Bible says, "But he gives us even more grace to stand against such evil desires. As the Scriptures say, "God opposes the proud but favors the humble." -James 4:6.
