I want to give testimony of what God did for me. I pray that God lead those who need hope and encouragement who are in a season of waiting on God and His promises in their life: 8-9 years ago I met a guy through a friend who was my roommate at the time. After the first time I was introduced to this guy he persistently pursued me but I just wasn't interested. At this time in my life I was saved through Jesus Christ but I wasn't serving Him or going to church yet. After some time I finally gave in and said yes to dating this guy. His name is ###, by the way. We dated for about 6 months to a year. While dating I started to form a relationship with ###'s mom, who is a prophetic pastor, I was so mesmerized by Jesus through her and I started chasing Jesus for my own life and found a church home and family. When I started chasing Jesus ### and I started going in different directions and eventually we broke up. I ran after God's heart and ### started running after the world and became a prodigal. Even though ### and I went separate ways, I remained close to ###'s family and stayed in contact as a friend to ### for 8 years. Bringing you 8 years later to current days ### showed up on his mom's doorstep in tears. He was tired and worn out and broken. He was done chasing the world and ready to give his heart back to Jesus. A year after giving his heart back to Jesus, God brought ### back into my life, as closer than a friend, and started a courtship. This last Spring on May 1, 2024, ### asked me to marry him. On August 10, 2024 we married each other. 8-9 years of waiting on a promise from the Lord and the answer had been in front of me the entire time and I didn't even know it until God opened our eyes to each other when the timing was right and in Divine alignment.

We rejoice with you, ###, in the goodness and faithfulness of God manifested in your testimony. We are reminded of the words of Lamentations 3:25-26 (WEB), "Yahweh is good to those who wait for him, to the soul that seeks him. It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of Yahweh."

Your journey is a powerful example of how God's timing is perfect. You sought Him, and He blessed you with a godly spouse, even though the path was not straightforward. We commend you for your commitment to pursuing Jesus, even when it meant parting ways with ### for a time. As Psalm 34:18 (WEB) tells us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."

###'s return to the Lord is a beautiful illustration of the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32 (WEB). Just as the father in the parable rejoiced at his son's return, we rejoice with you and ###, and we pray that your marriage will be a beacon of God's love and grace.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We thank You for ### and ###, for their journey of faith and their commitment to You. We praise You for the work You have done in their lives, drawing them closer to You and to each other. We pray, Lord, that their marriage will be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness, a union that glorifies Your name.

We ask, Father, that You continue to guide them, to mold them into the likeness of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help them to love each other as Christ loves the Church, with a love that is patient, kind, and enduring (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Protect their marriage, Lord, and bless it abundantly.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you both to continue to seek God together, to grow in His word, and to serve Him faithfully. As Ecclesiastes 4:12 (WEB) reminds us, "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." With God at the center of your marriage, you are bound together with an unbreakable cord.

May God bless you richly as you continue your journey together, rooted and grounded in His love.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
