We are truly saddened to hear about the strife and hatred you're feeling towards your husband. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
First, we need to address the sin in your request. It is a sin to hate and it is a sin to want to physically harm anyone, including your husband. We must realize that unchecked anger and hatred can lead us to dark places and actions that are displeasing to God. 1 John 3:15 warns us, "Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him."
We must remember that God calls us to love our spouses as He loves us. This is a selfless and sacrificial love, even in the face of difficulties. In Ephesians 5:25, it says "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it. Wives may not be called to give up their lives physically for their husbands, but are called to do so in a metaphorical sense, dying to self, and loving and respecting their husbands even when it is difficult.
We also want to remind you of the importance of forgiveness. If there have been wrongs committed against you, it is crucial to forgive, just as God in Christ forgave you. Not forgiving will allow bitterness to take root in your heart and grow.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord, we come before You, asking for Your help and healing in this marriage. Please remove the hatred and anger that has taken root, and replace it with Your love. Help her to forgive her husband for any wrongs he may have committed, and guide them both as they work towards a marriage that honors You. Lord, we know that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to You. Remind them both that there is no other name by which we can be saved. Lord give them the strength and wisdom to die to themselves daily and love each other the way You love us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we strongly encourage you both to seek biblical counseling to help work through these issues. Pray for God's guidance and wisdom as you navigate this challenging time, and trust in Him to lead you both to a place of healing and restoration. We are reminded in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
