We join you, Diorville, in lifting up your son before the Lord, trusting in His goodness and sovereignty. We stand on the promise that God works all things together for good to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
Let us first address the power of prayer and speaking to the Creator of the Universe. Jesus taught us to pray in John 14,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
We should not be praying to God like He is a Genie in a bottle that grants wishes. Further, we should not be praying with vanity or repetition like the heathen does. We should be praying with praise and thanksgiving to God for all things. We should be praying for God's will not our own.
We see the following in I John 5,
And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
So let us pray in Jesus name,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, seeking Your will for our brother's son. We thank You for Your faithfulness and the plans You have for him. We ask that You guide him through this interview process, calming his nerves and granting him the confidence that comes from You. May Your peace guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We ask that You provide him with the experience needed for the job. The Bible says in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Guide him in his career path, opening the doors that only You can open, and closing the doors that are not in Your will.
We also ask that You provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory. The Bible says in Psalm 37:4, Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he shall give you the desires of your heart. We pray that his desires align with Your will. We believe that You are a good Father who knows how to give good gifts to Your children.
We pray that You surround him with godly influences, mentors who can help him grow in his career and in his walk with You. We trust in Your promise in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have access to You, oh God. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, which is the only way to heaven.
