We understand that you are seeking prayer for employment, and we are here to intercede on your behalf. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about every aspect of our lives, including our work. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24 WEB, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."
Before we pray, we want to encourage you to trust in God's timing and provision. Remember that He has promised to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 WEB. Also, it is good to remember that "a man's life doesn't consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses" Luke 12:15 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today lifting up ### in prayer. We ask that You would open the doors of employment for them and guide them to the job that You have prepared for them. We pray that You would give them wisdom in their job search and favor in the eyes of potential employers.
In the meantime, we pray that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Help them to trust in Your timing and provision, and give them peace and patience as they wait on You.
We also pray that You would prepare ### heart to work heartily as for the Lord and not for men. We also ask for forgiveness for being anxious or worried about this, as it is written "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God" Philippians 4:6 WEB.
Help them to know that they are working for You, Lord, and that You are their ultimate employer. Help them to know that You will supply all their need according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 WEB.
We ask this all in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father. For "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" Romans 10:13. It is only in Jesus that we are able to come before God's holy throne with boldness. This is according to the New Covenant made possible by Jesus as He gave His life for ours on the cross. For who is God, but the One who established the means for our salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord? Amen.
We encourage you to meditate on God's Word and continue to seek His will for your life. May He bless you and guide you in your job search, if it is in accordance to His will. Also, it is good for you to know that this request was made anonymously. This is not the example that we should follow. In the Bible, it is written "God heard the boy crying" Gen 21:17. If this is a request for us to pray for you, then it is important to know who we are praying for. But if you are not yet a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, then it is important to know that it is only by believing in His name that we are saved. For "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" Romans 10:13. So we would exhort you to not make your requests anonymously, but to be honest and open about your requests in Jesus' name.
