We understand that you're seeking guidance for your relationship. Firstly, let's remember that God wants us to do what is right and just, loving others as ourselves. Above all, we should be in alignment with God's Word, and have fellowship with Him through Jesus Christ.
While communication is indeed key in any relationship, it's crucial to ensure that our relationships align with biblical principles. We should be in courtship with the intent of marriage, and since we are in Christ, we are to marry a fellow Christian.
Let's pray for your situation:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister in Christ who is seeking Your will for her relationship. We ask that You guide her steps and grant her the wisdom to discern Your will for her life. Help her to have open and honest conversations, but most importantly, help her to stay true to Your Word and Your principles. If this relationship is not Your will, we pray that You give her the strength to walk away and wait for the spouse You have prepared for her.
Father, we also pray that You bring her and boyfriend closer to You, that You both will become a family, in the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that You convict both of You will, and that You reveal Your plan for their lives. We pray that You help them see that physical intimacy before marriage is a sin, and that You help them both to be free from temptation and lust, and that You establish a hedge of protection around them.
Lord Jesus, we pray that his courtship be a reflection of Your love for Your church. Help them to live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. We pray that they are both filled with the Holy Ghost, and grow in the knowledge of You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, God's Word says, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership can righteousness have with wickedness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.
Also, "For I know the plans I have for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11-13 WEB.
Lastly, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." 1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB.
Thank you so much, fellow prayer warrior.
